New Game in Town

President Steve asked Glen to introduce a new fun way to raise money for administrative costs. Members were invited to put in $2.00 each.  A deck of cards was used, and the idea is that each week one member will be asked to draw a card hoping for the Ace of Spades. If not picked the money stays in the kitty to next week. Each week the money will grow until the Ace of Spades is selected.  At that time 50% remains with the Club and the other half goes to the luck winner.

Chris Gives His Classification Talk

Chris Adams, our newest member, gave his classification speech.  Chris is married to his wife Jeanie and the have two children. His daughter Luna is 8, and his son, Cardan(?) is five.  They moved to Rhode Island from Minnesota 3 years ago when Chris joined the Navy and was assigned to be the chaplain in Newport.  Prior to the Navy Chris worked for College Pro Painters and then began his own business working 80 hours a week.  As. A Christian, God reminded him to take one day of rest.  He and is wife have traveled the world extensively doing mission work.  Each time they were called to various assignments and he and Jeanne would pray over it and make the decision they felt best.  One such mission was with Boys Town and the House of Hope working with victims of sex trafficking. Together they spend time doing work in Egypt and developed a close friendship with a Muslim who now lives in the states.
Chris does not claim one religion, rather he simply “follow Jesus”.
His story is remarkable and one that he is happy to share with others (too numerous to record each assignment here).
Chris is retiring from the Navy and will now focus on expanding his business, “Solar Nerds”.  He enjoys networking and educating others on sustainability and the benefits of solar panels.
Glen helps Chris set up his laptop to work with our AV equipment and present to Zoomers.
