Speaker and Program: Club Assembly for the May 15 “Kids Fun Day” with Donna, Beth, and Nancy
The Kids Fun Day (perhaps named “First Annual Rotary Fun Fest”) is our newest venture into outreach and inclusion. It will be held at the South County Museum on May 15, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, with Narragansett Elementary School as a backup (rain) site.
Donna described the day’s activities: story telling, face painting, balloon art, obstacle course, crafts table, live cartoon characters, food, music, and much more. Storyteller Bill Harley is the headliner; Wayne Everett will lead Native American dancers. Tickets are only $1 for children under 12.
Beth explained that we are recruiting sponsors for the May Fun Fest as well as for the September All Inclusive South County expo. Sponsorships will be priced at $1000 down to $100, and $1000 sponsors will be recognized at both events. Joanne Daly signed on for the first sponsorship at $1000!
Nancy asked people to claim the jobs they wanted to do for the May Fun Fest. Everybody present and on Zoom signed up for at least one job, and some people volunteered family members and friends as well. The list is in the photo below. If you missed the meeting, we’ll be in touch!
Thanks, everyone, for your enthusiasm and generosity!
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
