Rev. Lynne Bryan Phipps is a nationally licenced Equine Therapy Trainer (IET). She uses trained psychologists and conselors woriking with specially selected horses help clients with a range of emotional issues. There is not riding and horce ceare is incidental to the process. the Client learns to communicate iwht the horse and the therapist. Brown University has developed protocols for data collection to comument the remarkable healing rates. |

Their belief is that an overwelming majority of older Americans want to remain in their homes for as long as possible, but are unaware of home and community-based serves that make independent living possible. Membership will be discussed. |

Find out about wind farms and their impact on fish, fishermen and the environment during a presentation given by Capt. Dave Monti. Capt. Monti is a recreational fishermen and charter captain. He writes a weekly fishing column for the Providence Journal and 13 other daily and weekly newspapers, blogs and sport fishing magazines.. He is vice chair of the Rhode Island Marine Fisheries Council that makes commercial and recreational fishing regulation recommendations, a vice president of the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association and an active member of the Rhode Island Party & Charter Boat Association. |

The Journey of South County Hospital over its 100 year existence

Claudia would like to make members aware of the role South County Hospital has played in our community over the 100 years sicne it was founded in 1919. This history has given the hospital a culture of indepence and of serving the community. So it remains the only stand along unafficliated hospital in the state. Yet it is has received the highest awards for patient care and service. It also continues build on this base to atract new and innovative medical services. The coming year will be very exciting as the hospital celebrates its 100th birthday with a different event each month. |
