Lt. Col. Richard Courtney, Civil Air Patrol (CAP) &
Senior CAP Cadet Corinna Dennen
 
Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is "the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force and a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization."
 
Lt Col Courtney Director of Emergency Services spoke about his duties at the squadron, wing and region levels.  Cadet Dennen talked about CAP cadet service at the Wakefield Rotary South County Balloon Festival, The Air Guard Air Show , and the Army Guard Leapfest.  
 
Cadet Dennen presented a powerpoint detailing her training and experience in CAP.  She talked about the CAP mission:  aerospace education; emergency services; and cadet programs.  Regarding aerospace education, Cadet Dennen talked about her plans to train as a pilot.  Dennen mentioned that CAP emergency services saves, on average, 71 lives a year.  Cadet Programs include intense physical training and competitions; Dennen's cadet group recently beat a ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) team in a recent competition.
 
Corinne Dennen was very impressive....and a 15-year-old high school student!
