THE  41st NARRAGANSETT ART FESTIVAL

Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, 2024

 

New since 2023:  The art festival will have artists set up in two locations. The traditional location is beside the Towers and we will have locations on the Gazebo Field (Behind the Narragansett Post Office). Please request if you would like to be on the Gazebo Field.
 

WHAT: A volunteer-managed outdoor FINE ART ONLY festival event sponsored by The Rotary Club of Wakefield, now celebrating our 40th year!

Accepted categories of fine art include: Oils & Acrylics, Watercolors & Pastels, Drawings & Graphics, Photography, Sculpture, and Other/3-dimensional Media

  • Reproductions featuring prints of the artist’s original work are allowed. Notecards of the artist’s original work are allowed provided they do not exceed one-quarter of the total work displayed.
  • Prohibited Items:  Imported artwork, mass-produced items, no dealers, or vendors are permitted.

WHEN: Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2024       9:00 am to 6 pm.        Set-up: Friday, June 21, after 3:00 pm

WHERE: Veterans’ Park at the historic “Towers”, overlooking Narragansett Beach:  35 Ocean Road, Narragansett, RI 02882

Late applications are accepted until June 20, with a late registration fee of $59.00, pending space available.

WHY: Dedicated to providing artists with a well-managed, high-quality, well-publicized event. Net proceeds from artists’ registration fees support the charitable donations of the Wakefield Rotary Club.

REFUNDS: Refunds for cancellations by the artist are allowed upon request before May 31. No refunds after May 31st, for inclement weather or other conditions for which the Rotary Club has no control.     

PARKING: Parking is not provided to artists but is usually available on selected side streets and Ocean Road on a first-come basis. Artists are provided with a vehicle ID display card for identification by Rotary volunteers and traffic officers.  All artists are solely responsible for their own parking arrangements as well as any tickets or fines for illegal parking.  Warning - Do not park at the Coast Guard House or Trio Restaurants.

 

AMENITIES: Overnight security – Friday & Saturday nights (11:00 pm to 6:00 am) by off-duty Narragansett PD officers; Rotarian volunteers to assist with booth sitting & bottled water;                                  

NOTEWORTHY:  Invited food vendors; Portable restrooms (one handicap accessible) are available with hand-wash station; Vehicles NOT allowed on the field
